  • Continue discussing necessary advances in observations / models / experiments and the attributes of study sites to address science objectives

  • Prepare to develop a specific plan for this initiative by reviewing relevant existing/planned activities and lessons learned from developing previous initiatives.

    • Briefly review existing and planned activities and capabilities. Each WG can choose it’s own relevant topics.

    • Lessons learned from genesis/implementation of previous efforts.

    •  

  • Begin developing ideas for draft implementation plan for SZ4D  

    • Necessary observations / models /experiments

    • Study areas.  How many and what to do in each? 

    • How to leverage other national and international efforts

    • Potential funding agencies and strategies for funding different components

    • Upcoming meetings that we could potentially utilize & leverage from

  • Distill main ideas, consensus, questions for plenary presentation
