Objectives

A public forum to learn more about SZ4D’s community activities

Please join us on Monday, November 18 at 10AM Pacific Time for the SZ4D Public Forum over Zoom, where we’ll share updates on current and upcoming SZ4D activities and explore ways for everyone to get involved. The townhall will feature updates on recent advancements for community resources, funded and pending proposals, and upcoming events. A Q&A panel will provide an open forum for community input and questions. A Q&A panel will provide an open forum for community input and feedback on how SZ4D can best support the community’s needs.


The webinar will be recorded and posted on the SZ4D YouTube Channel for later viewing. Live translated closed captioning will also be available.

  • Community Resources & Events: Learn more about our latest activities, including the Experimental Petrology Community Mini-Workshop at AGU and the SZNet US & Chile Exchange Program and Field Trips. Explore our growing collection of community resources publicly available on the SZ4D website and Youtube channel, including recordings from the International Webinar Series and the virtual workshop on subduction zone time series legacy data.

  • Proposal Updates: Get insights into ongoing funded projects, such as the GeoArray & Strabospot Collaborative Project, the GeoArray Geoscience Education Project, and the ASPECT and LandLab Project. We will also cover proposals currently under review, including the SZ4D – Interconnected Geohazards in Context and the SZ4D MultiArray Scaling & Configuration Design Proposals

  • In-Progress Initiatives: Learn about our brand new SZ4D Scientist Matchmaking Survey and Science Platform, designed to foster collaboration and support emerging research partnerships. 

  • Ways to Engage: Find out how you can participate in SZ4D events at AGU to share your research, network with peers, and build collaborative connections.

This public event is open to all, especially for those interested in learning more about SZ4D’s activities.
