SZ4D’s infrastructure plans and developments

Welcome

As SZ4D advances toward the submission of the MSRI-2* proposal, anticipated in Spring 2025, we are committed to keeping our community informed at every stage of the process. This page will serve as a hub for updates on key milestones, progress reports, and opportunities for engagement. Our goal is to ensure transparency and provide insights into how our collaborative efforts are shaping the future of SZ4D’s research infrastructure. Meet the Team

The team for the SZ4D MultiHazard Array proposal has been assembled following an open and transparent process that began with role recommendations from OPC-I, followed by a call for US-based nominations and volunteers within SZ4D Committees and Working Groups. The Steering Committee reviewed the nominations and voted on the initial co-PI team, which includes roles for Onshore and Offshore Infrastructure, Science Coordination, and CyberInfrastructure. AndesNet led a separate process for Chile-based nominations for Onshore and Offshore Infrastructure and SZ4D Steering Committee voted on the final members. This team will guide the proposal preparation for the anticipated call in Spring 2025 and, if funded, will continue to lead throughout the construction period.
