Objectives
A public forum to learn more about SZ4D’s plans for infrastructure
SZ4D hosted a public forum on Monday, October 14, at 8 AM PT via Zoom to provide updates on the proposal for the National Science Foundation’s Mid-Scale Research Infrastructure 2 (MSRI-2)* program. The forum was facilitated by Diana Roman (SZ4D Vice-Chair and Proposal PI, Carnegie Institution) and Jeff Freymueller (Operations Planning Committee for Infrastructure, Michigan State University).
During the event, SZ4D outlined the scope of the proposal, the writing process, and an action plan aimed at solidifying the project’s goals. The forum also covered the next steps leading to the potential Spring 2025 submission. Participants were encouraged to join the Q&A session to share input and ask questions, fostering a collaborative discussion.
The webinar was open to all interested in learning more about SZ4D’s infrastructure plans. A recording is available on the SZ4D YouTube channel, and live translated closed captioning were be provided.
