Research Interests

My relevant research interests are largely tectonic geomorphology focused and include quantitative topographic analysis and landscape evolution modelling applied to tectonic, including subduction zone, centered research questions. Of potential interest to potential applicants, I am in the late stages of developing components for Landlab (a community driven library of landscape evolution components) to simulate fault and earthquake deformation within landscapes along with coseismic landslides, and would be excited to develop projects using these new model tools, but am also open to other project ideas within my areas of expertise.

At present, I have one PhD student who is working with the aforementioned new Landlab components and so potential visitors would be entering a small collaborative community with similar interests. Within the broader Geology & Geophysics department, there are several other faculty members with a focus on different aspects of subduction zone systems and so there would be a larger community of graduate students and faculty with similar interests as well.

Proposed Hosting Period

I do not have any large commitments during the potential hosting period.

Facilities Resources

I have a dry lab space with access to computer workstations and meeting spaces. I would be able to arrange temporary office space (though may be shared with a graduate student) within the Geology & Geophysics building. We also have access to a High Performance Computing center and associated resources.
