Research Interests

My research interest span: theory, implementation and application of Optimal and Bayesian Inverse Methods, uncertainty quantification, GNSS data processing, active tectonics geodesy and the seismic cycle in subduction zones. With the aim of improving the understanding of the seismic cycle in subduction zones, I use observations from space geodesy along with inference methods to identify, characterize and comprehend deformation processes involved in the accumulation of energy that is eventually released during the occurrence of large earthquakes. I am developing a resolution aware slip inversion framework where complexity of inferred slip is controlled by a regularization scheme that adapts to the resolving power of the observations.
