Research Interests

Project will focus on the impact of glacial isostatic adjustment, or solid Earth deformation over the ice age, on the Cascadia Subduction Zone. There are two potential research avenues: (1) improve estimates for the interseismic deformation signal originating from locking on the megathrust in geodetic data by correcting for 3-D crustal deformation due to glacial isostatic adjustment, and (2) quantify glacial isostatic adjustment-induced stress changes on splay fault activity in the Cascadia wedge over the last glacial cycle (120,000 years ago to present day). Our group will provide output for 3-D glacial isostatic adjustment modeling.
