Connecting Early Career Researchers in Subduction Zone Science
SZ4Grads has been busy, as usual, running the Fall 2024 Webinar Series, preparing for AGU, and working towards bringing in new Executive Committee members!
Bilingual Webinar Series
The SZ4Grads webinar series continues to be a cornerstone of our efforts to spotlight the work of Early Career Researchers, providing them with a platform to deliver formal talks. The 2024 series has spanned a wide range of topics, from geoscience communication to mélanges and mineral fabrics
This Fall edition is bilingual, offering presentations in both Spanish and English, with live translated subtitles available for accessibility. Webinars this semester take place at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET and will resume on January 8th, 22nd and February 5. Don’t miss the upcoming talks listed below—we look forward to seeing you there!

As a reminder, all of this semester’s webinars and all previous editions are available on the SZ4D YouTube page. Past webinars have attracted hundreds of views, and we are excited to see the community actively engaging and appreciating the hard work of our presenters.
Are you interested in sharing your work with a global audience? We are always looking for new speakers and would love to feature your research in an upcoming edition of the SZ4Grads Webinar Series. As we strengthen ties with our South American ECR colleagues (AndeSur), we are actively recruiting bilingual Spanish/English speakers.
We look forward to hearing from you!
