Connecting Early Career Researchers in Subduction Zone Science

We are thrilled to share some exciting developments from the SZ4Grads community! Here's a quick summary of what we've been up to:

1. Introducing SZ4Grads Chile-Argentina

We are excited to announce the creation of a new branch within the SZ4Grads network: SZ4Grads Chile-Argentina. Chilean and Argentinian early-career researchers lead this connection focused on engaging graduate students and early-career researchers who live in Chile and Argentina and are excited to get involved with SZ4D.

2. GSA Session Evolution: New Name and Collaboration**

Our SZ4Grads GSA session has transformed! It has now merged with other sessions to form a comprehensive event titled "Subduction Zone Processes in the Evolution of Ophiolites, Continental Crust and Orogenic Belts." This exciting development allows for a broader exploration of topics related to subduction zones and their geological implications.

3.  AGU Session Goes eLightning: Stay Tuned!

We are pleased to announce that AGU upgraded our upcoming AGU session to the dynamic eLightning format. Our eLightning session promises to be an engaging and interactive experience, offering new ways to connect, learn, and share research. Stay tuned for further details on our session.

4. Welcome New Ex-Comm SZ4Grads Members

This fall, we are delighted to introduce the new members of the Ex-comm SZ4Grads team. Their fresh perspectives and dedication will contribute to our community's continued growth and success while allowing previous ExComm members to focus on finishing degrees and beginning new jobs.
